Loufane (Namur, Belgium, 1975) likes to create touching characters to bring to life funny children stories that leave an imprint on the reader. In 1999 she graduated from the Academy of Arts Saint-Luc (école superieure des arts) in Liege, Belgium, but she settled down in Quebec in Canada to exercise her profession. Up until now she published worldwide about thirty children’s books. She has a passion for childhood, travelling and photography.
Loufane grew up surrounded by animals. There were cats, a dog, a donkey, goats, sheep and of course… chicken! Even a rooster, the donkey’s best friend. Loufane also liked the animals of the forest: bears, foxes … and most of all the wolf.
So illustrating stories starring those animals is a real pleasure for her. She loves to make them undergo adventures full of surprise that make you laugh and that give children lots of pleasure.
